The Many Faces of Wilson

Last Wednesday (August 31), Hayes and I went to visit Wilson and Laura for the afternoon.  I was amazed at how alert he was.  He was looking into my eyes, even.  It wasn't until I was home and flipping quickly through the images I shot of Wilson that I saw how many expressions he exhibited.  He truly has many faces as he is exercising his facial muscles.  He is developing so well and how lucky are we that we get to come and visit him on the regular.  Oh, by the way, there are more than forty photographs in this post... so grab a cup of coffee and take a seat..... because I know you don't want to miss a detail.

Hayes was using this old ottoman as a platform in which to jump.

 cousins
We were watching some of the video music awards... Hayes was enjoying the stylings of Bruno Mars.

Look at those feet!  He is spreading his toes... and of course they appear big because of the foreshortening that occurs with the camera lens... you can see his newborn skin is sloughing away as his healthy body generates new cells all of the time.

Dixie had Hayes's brown bear... ahem, baby.
Immediately, Hayes rescues his baby and then presents his baby to Laura and me.  "See my baby?"
I had Hayes get with Aunt Laura so they could show the camera their babies.

Geez, Hayes, could you get your finger any closer to Wilson's eye?

Happy Family.  Oh, sorry Dixie.... you were lying in the grass.  I didn't mean to leave you out.
 A nose to nose.
 and a hug.
And then Hayes made a run for the swing...because he never wants to leave Aunt Laura and Uncle Nathan's house.
So, we swang for a bit.

I kept asking him to look into my camera... and he finally did.... like this.
Well, we had another great visit... and we look forward to the next time...
Afterward, we headed down the road and stopped for dinner at a quaint cafe in Nashville.  That is for the next post, though.

Wilson is such a beautiful baby! I can see your family resemblance, but Nathan's lips! So glad that you and Hayes are able to visit them. Thank you for posting these! Laura is probably busy enough this week without having to send me my fix of baby pics :-)
